Profit Pulse AI - Shopify app by Das Group LLC
Last updated: April 26, 2026
1. Overview
Profit Pulse AI helps Shopify merchants find profit leaks and protect margins.
This policy explains what data the app accesses, what is stored, how the app uses that data,
and how we keep the product privacy-forward.
Privacy-forward design: Profit Pulse AI runs in the browser where possible.
AI-generated recommendations are produced locally when supported, and we avoid unnecessary external data storage.
2. Data We Access
Profit Pulse AI accesses only the store data needed to calculate and monitor profitability.
Store and App Configuration
- Store domain (for example,
your-store.myshopify.com)
- Shopify access token needed to read authorized store data
- Store currency, profit goals, and alert rule settings
Product Data
- Product titles, variants, SKUs, and prices from Shopify
- Product cost data (COGS) that you enter or import
Order Profit Inputs
- Order numbers and dates
- Order totals, shipping costs, taxes, fees, and discounts
- Calculated gross profit, net profit, and margin values
What We Do Not Need
Profit Pulse AI does not need customer names, addresses, payment details, or other unnecessary customer personal information
to provide the core profit leak detection workflow.
3. How We Use Your Data
- True profit calculation: Calculate order-level profit after COGS, shipping, fees, and discounts
- Margin protection: Detect low-margin products, negative-margin orders, discount leakage, and shipping drag
- Recommendations: Surface actionable ways to increase profit
- Goal tracking: Compare current margin performance to your selected target
- Billing and support: Track plan usage and support requests when needed
4. Browser Processing and Local Storage
When supported, AI recommendations are generated in your browser. We use browser storage for items such as:
- Cached AI model files for faster future loads
- Dismissed recommendation state
- Basic UI memory like review prompts or visit history
This browser-side storage stays on your device and is not shared with third-party AI providers.
5. Data Storage on Our Infrastructure
Some store data is stored in our application database because it is required to power the dashboard, order history,
alerts, exports, and ongoing margin calculations.
- Database: PostgreSQL
- Hosting: Secure application hosting for the app backend and authenticated Shopify sync workflows
- Encryption: Data is protected in transit and at rest using standard hosting and database security controls
6. Third Parties and Sharing
We do not sell your data.
Your data may be processed only by the services required to operate the app:
- Shopify, through the permissions you grant during installation
- Our hosting and database providers, solely to run the app securely
We do not send your business data to external AI APIs as part of the default product experience.
7. Retention
- While installed: Data is retained to support the dashboard, alerts, exports, and recommendations
- After uninstall: Data is retained for a limited period to support reinstallation, support, and compliance workflows, then deleted according to our retention policy
- On request: Merchants can request deletion by contacting support
8. Your Controls
- Update product costs and alert rules at any time
- Set or change profit goals from the Settings page
- Export order and product data via CSV
- Disable AI-powered recommendations in the app settings
9. Compliance Requests
We honor Shopify privacy and compliance requirements, including deletion or redaction workflows
required for installed apps.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we do, the updated date on this page will change.
